Dr. Jory Magidson is the President of Morristown Pathology Associates. He is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He completed his residency at UCLA Center for the Health Sciences. Dr. Magidson specializes in Hematopathology, Flow Cytometry and MOHS Pathology. He is the Chief of Pathology for AHS and Chairman, Department of Pathology, at Morristown Medical Center and Medical Director of Pathology at the Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights. Dr. Magidson has been with Morristown Pathology Associates since 1986.


Maria Pedemonte, M.D.

Dr. Maria Pedemonte is the Co-chief of pathology for AHS, Medical Director at the Atlantic Consolidated Laboratory in Morris Plains, NJ and Vice Chairman, Department of Pathology, Morristown Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Pedemonte is the Director of Laboratory Services at Summit Medical Group, Florham Park and Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington.

Having trained at Columbia University, she is Board Certified in Hematopathology, Anatomic and clinical Pathology, and Immunopathology. She has been selected for America’s Top Physicians in 2013 through 2016. Dr. Pedemonte was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and served as Medical Director at GenPath / Bio-Reference Laboratories, Bergen Regional Medical Center, JFK Medical Center, Quest Diagnostics and Cancer Genetics, Inc. Dr. Pedemonte has been a member of Morristown Pathology Associates since February 2004.


Hamsa Al-Dulaimi, M.D.

Dr. Hamsa Al-Dulaimi has been a member of Morristown Pathology Associates since 1998. After graduating from the Baghdad College of Medicine, Dr. Al-Dulaimi completed her training in pathology at The Glasgow School of Pathology in Scotland and in the pathology residency program at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Dr. Al-Dulaimi is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is a Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists. She is a general surgical pathologist with a special interest in Pediatric Pathology.

Flores Alfonso, M.D., is a graduate of the Albert Einstein Medical School. Dr. Alfonso completed fellowships in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the New York University and Cytopathology at Montefiore Medical Center as well as a medical internship at Morristown Medical Center. He is an executive committee member of the New Jersey Society of Pathologists. He holds a special interest in cytopathology and fine needle aspiration diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Alfonso is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. He is recipient of a 2015 Physician Excellence, Clinical Practice Award from Overlook Medical Center.

Rao H. Andavolu, M.B., B.S., graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India. He did his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at New York Medical College and a fellowship in Blood Banking and Immunohematology at the New York Blood Center. Dr. Andavolu is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Blood Banking and Immunohematology. Over the past 30 years, he has held positions as Blood Bank Medical Director, Pathologist and Deputy Director of Pathology in New York and New Jersey. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a fellow of the American Association of Blood Banks and has been the past president of the New Jersey Association of Blood Bank Professionals. Dr. Andavolu is currently the Lab Director at Newton Medical Center and the Medical Director of Blood Banks at Morristown, Overlook and Newton Medical Centers. He works actively on the health issues of South Asian Americans and is an active supporter of SATHI, South Asian Total Health Initiative, a program of UMDNJ supported by the New Jersey State Department of Health.

Dr. Basius is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She is a general surgical pathologist with a special interest in Hematopathology and Molecular pathology.

Shannon Bey, M.D., is a graduate of St. George’s University of Medicine. Dr. Bey completed residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina before moving to a Cytopathology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital, that allowed her to rotate through MD Anderson and Baylor. She previously spent three years in Pennsylvania practicing community medicine and was a former member of the CAP Cytopathology Committee, and the ASC Cytopathology Program Director’s Committee. She excels in interpreting fine needle aspiration and ROSE, and maintains a strong interest in surgical pathology. She is board certified in Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology.


John-Paul Bouffard, M.D.

John-Paul Bouffard, M.D. graduated from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1990, and he did his residency in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX. His fellowship in Neuropathology was performed at The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in 2002. He is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Neuropathology. He served as Chief of the Neuromuscular Division at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology from 2002 to 2004. From 2004 to 2006 he served as a Surgical Pathologist/Neuropathologist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas Texas, as well as a Deputy Medical Examiner at the Tarrant County Medical Examiners office, Ft. Worth TX. Dr. Bouffard specializes in Neuropathology and General Surgical Pathology.

Dr. Monica Chung received her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers). She completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Chung went on to complete a Breast Pathology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She also completed a fellowship in Oncologic Surgical Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY as Chief Fellow. Dr. Chung’s areas of interest and expertise include surgical pathology with a specialty in breast pathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Angel de Dios Quintero is a graduate of “Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Villa Clara”, Cuba. He worked as a Family Physician for 4 years, 2 years in Cuba and 2 years in Venezuela. After coming to the United States he completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, NY. Dr. de Dios Quintero completed his fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, NY in Oncologic Surgical Pathology. His areas of interest and expertise include Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and Oncologic Surgical Pathology. Dr. de Dios Quintero is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. John Donahue is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Donahue completed his fellowships at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. in general surgical pathology and at the University of Kansas, Kansas City, Kansas in cytopathology. He then worked as a clinical instructor, junior faculty member, at the University of Kansas for one year. His areas of interests and expertise include general surgical pathology and cytopathology. Dr. Donahue is board certified in anatomic pathology.

Dr. Donahue completed his Master’s Degree in Public Health a Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, The School of Public Health, Piscataway, New Jersey.

Dr. Anup Hazra graduated with MBBS degree from Calcutta University and specialized MD degree from Delhi University. He did fellowship/research in Molecular Biochemistry at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. He completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the RWJ Medical School, NJ and did a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, NY. Prior to joining Morristown Pathology Associates, Dr. Hazra was a pathologist at the RWJ University Hospital Hamilton for 22 years and a Clinical Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the RWJ Medical School, NJ. He is a general surgical pathologist and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Yaser Hussein is a graduate of Al-Nahrain University, College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. He completed his residency at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Hussein completed his fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY in Oncologic Surgical Pathology and Gynecologic Pathology. He then worked as a Clinical Instructor, Junior Faculty at Memorial Sloan Kettering for one year. Dr. Marina Jaramillo joined Morristown Pathology Associates in 2007. She graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (Catholic University of Chile) and completed her Pathology residency at the University of Arizona, as well as a Fellowship in Hematopathology. Dr. Jaramillo was an Attending Pathologist at the Southern Arizona VA Health System and an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. Dr. Jaramillo is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and specializes in Hematopathology and Immunohistochemistry.

Dr. Jiang published several papers in pathology during her training. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. Her areas of interests and expertise include general surgical pathology and cytopathology.

Dr. Katava completed fellowships in hematopathology at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY and molecular genetics pathology at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. Previously at Northwell Health in New York, Dr. Katava served as Associate Medical Director of Lenox Hill Hospital (NY), Medical Director of Lenox Health Greenwich Village and Interim Medical Director of Phelps Hospital. She is board certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology and Molecular Genetics Pathology and is fellow of College of American Pathologists (CAP) and American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Eun Ji Kwon, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She subsequently received her dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Kwon went on to pursue dermatopathology fellowship training at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Dr. Kwon is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, and she is actively involved with teaching and publishing in the fields of dermatology and dermatopathology.

She was previously an Attending Pathologist and Assistant Professor of Pathology at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Mercer is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. Dr. Mercer specializes in Cytopathology, MOHS Pathology and Pediatric Gastrointestinal Pathology.

She was also an Assistant Professor of Pathology at State University at Stony Brook (1987-1997), Stony Brook, Long Island, NY. She has been an Attending Pathology at Overlook Medical Center since 1991 and a member of Morristown Pathology Associates since 2002. Dr. Pai specializes in Cytopathology, Urological Pathology, Breast Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology.

Dr. Kathryn Piotti joined Morristown Pathology Associates in 2014. Dr. Fang Qian is a graduate of Beijing Medical University (Peking University Health Science Center). She completed her pathology residency and gynecological pathology fellowship at Columbia University. Prior to joining Morristown Pathology Associates, Dr. Qian was an attending pathologist at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and BioReference Laboratory in New Jersey and served as assistant chief of surgical and cytopathology services at BioReference. Dr. Qian’s areas of expertise include surgical pathology and cytopathology with a special interest in gynecological pathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.


Arbaz Samad, M.D.

Dr. Arbaz Samad is a graduate of Nishtar Medical College, Multan, Pakistan. He did his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He completed fellowships in Oncologic Surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and in Cytopathology at University of Minnesota. Dr. Samad is board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. During his training, Dr. Samad published several papers on Pancreatobiliary Cytopathology and also co-authored a book chapter in Neoplastic Mimics in Genitourinary Pathology. Dr. Samad joined MPA as an associate pathologist in July 2014.

Dr. Sarkissian is Board Certified in Dermatopathology, Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. She completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School and was also trained at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. Dr. Sarkissian completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at St. Barnabas Health Care System in Livingston, NJ. She received her medical degree from the Medical University, School of Medicine, Varna, Bulgaria and her PhD degree in Virology from the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow, Russia. Dr. Sarkissian commenced postdoctoral fellowships in Virology and Molecular Biology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons, New York, NY. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the College of American Pathologists.

She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. Her areas of interests and expertise include general surgical pathology and cytopathology.


Yvonne Wu, M.D.

Dr. Yvonne Wu is a graduate of Zhejiang Medical University in China. She completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago in 1996. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Prior to joining Morristown Pathology Associates, Dr. Wu served as Laboratory Director at Barnert Hospital, and attending pathologist at Chilton Medical Center. She recently published a breast imaging article coauthored with Dr. Syed Hoda of NY Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to breast pathology, Dr. Wu’s special interests also include GI, thyroid and general surgical pathology.

She then served as Clinical/Chemical Pathology Resident at Alexandria University Hospitals, where she earned her Master’s in Clinical and Chemical Pathology. Dr Zayan completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at St Luke‘s Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, NY. At New York University Medical Center, Dr Zayan completed a fellowship in Hematopathology followed by a second fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology. Dr. Zayan is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.
